Indications
Prevention and therapy of damages due to faulty or deficient protein metabolism in chronic renal insufficiency in connection with limited protein in food of 40 g per day (for adults) and less; i.e. generally in patients with a glomerular filtration rate (GFR) below 25 ml/min.
Side effects and contraindications of the drug ketosteril
Ketosteril can cause hypercalcemia side effects. The drug ketosteril is contraindicated in cases of hypersensitivity to the components of the drug; people with hypercalcemia, amino acid metabolism disorders.
Caution when using ketosteril drug in the following cases:
Caution when using ketosteril drug for pregnant and lactating women. Are being treated with other drugs or supplements. For the elderly and children. People with a history of hereditary phenylketonuria.
